   Hi Everyone,

   Just a reminder that the social evening is still on for this coming Tuesday 4th June at the Duke of Gloucester – 7.30pm

   Martin now has the bulk bought ‘Lost Signal Sounders” that we are encouraging everyone to fit/use when flying at Ashcroft. They will be available on the night at £4 each.

   For anyone who has not been to the field in the last few days we now have an extended social area with a frame tent field shelter. Steve at no cost to the club has provided us with a power supply post with a 5 amp (total 1000 watt max) waterproof resettable breaker all facilitated by an armour clad cable coming from the hanger closest to our store shed. We have extended the supply into the tent where there is a power bar fitted to a resources cupboard which also has amplified speakers to assist hearing the airband scanner. After the next flying session the airband scanner will live on the resources cupboard rather than in the store shed. One of the drawers in the cupboard is signed and equipped with a first aid kit for the use of. The new layout is enabling us to keep the safety line and the pits area immediately behind it free and dedicated for those folks about to or finishing flying, with chatting, sunbathing, eating, snoozing all taking place in the extended social area which has the picnic table and plastic chairs.

   Recent fair weather days both in the week and at weekends have seen more members out flying and we are hoping to further extend activities into some weekday evening sessions.
